The talk is devoted to the approximation by linear means of Fourier series of classes of continuous periodic functions and classes of functions holomorphic in the disc.

We solve the problem of finding the exact upper bound for the deviations of the Cesaro means for the Taylor series in the class of functions with bounded derivative holomorphic in the disc, as well as the problem of finding the asymptotic equalities for the upper bound of deviations of the Fejer and de la Vallee Poussin means in the class of periodic functions of high smoothness.
